    Description

    This paperweight represents the Robert Burn’s cottage and monument in Ayr Scotland.
    Based upon research on old postcards with a similar view, the photo appears to date to early 1900 with some attributions to 1901-1904.
    The photo is glued to the back of the glass and based upon the printed framing of the photo/copy, it appears to have been commercially prepared.
    It was acquired by former family members who visited long ago.
    The piece measures 4 1/8 x 2 5/8 x 3/4”
    It is a small match head size bruise on the base short of perfect condition.
    It has the name and address of the original purchaser’s son written on the reverse.
