Original and important Canada WWI Army Recruiting Poster featuring Kitchener

One of the most famous and desired of the Canadian WWI posters, recruiting for the Kitchener's Own Army Regiment in Montreal. Featured great image of Lord Kitchener pointing at "you", with background of Union Jack flag. This is one of the very desirable series of "I Want You" type posters which were issued in different variants for each country in the war effort. Canada was the only country that produced original designs to recruit for each Army regiment, and this is one of the very best. Truly iconic item of WWI. Size 27"x41", poster was mounted on thin linen backing during the war, often this was done for pieces that were destined for museum or library collections (yes these were collected during the war). Condition is good overall, slightly toned paper but still bright colors, some edge wear, mostly at top.
