    Description

    Hungary, Medal for Protecting Public Safety, 3rd class (in bronze), Communist Era.
    This is GUARANTEED ORIGINAL made and issued not later than in 1980s, before the collapse of the communist regime in the late 80s! Medallion is made in brass with dark bronze finish on the wreath and gilt and red lacquer on the star; measures 35.9 mm wide. The large red faceted star is superimposed on a bronze wreath with Hungarian People's Republic coat of arms at the bottom. Comes on correct blue ribbon with diagonal red, white and green stripes. This medal is often referred to as Hungarian Police Medal.
    The medal is in GREAT condition. There is no significant wear to the lacquer or the wreath. The ribbon shows age but is perfectly clean and sound.
