Rare, original photos by William Pierson, taken in the 1960's - Ohio, various subjects, as noted on folders. Fifteen (15) photos, each measuring approximately 10" x 8."  some duplicates. Pencil notations on backs, all stamped with Pierson's stamp. Manilla folders included. May have not be able to photograph all, see photos for samples. You are bidding on fifteen (15) photos. Possibly intended for use in his publication - American Buildings and their Architects or related to The Historic American Building Survey. Each would look fantastic framed.
Professor William Pierson (1911 - December 11, 2008).
His publications included “American Buildings and Their Architects,” written with William H. Jordy and published in four volumes from 1970 to 1978, and the Buildings of the United States series, a projected 60-volume project produced in association with the Society of Architectural Historians, which plans to provide an architectural history for each of the 50 states as well as major cities. So far, 12 volumes have appeared since 1993.
